Story:
My interest in music has its roots in my cultural upbringing. In my family, my mother had a very strong inclination towards Indian classical music and Rabindra Sangeet which had profound influences on me as a child. Western music started appealing me only in my teenage years. However, with time as I moved to high school, college & university life, my musical horizon kept on broadening as I came across different genres of world music, and gradually started connecting myself more and more with country, jazz, blues, funk and so on.
Although I never wrote songs with an intention of a composition but it came up more from my habit of writing. Anyway, after moving to Europe, I was lucky enough to meet a number of talented and enthusiastic musicians — from whom I learned a lot. Also I took singing lessons from NMI. On top of these, playing in numerous jam sessions in bars, cafes helped me significantly to learn jamming and improvising with other musicians. However, around the end half of 2015, the magic started happening through the formation of a four piece rock band named Falcon Flux — in collaboration with three other beautiful creative minds that I came across through the vibrant live music scene in Groningen — the city of Eurosonic. Ever since then, I have been performing regularly.
Albums:
In the year 2017, with the two piece electronic rock band Alien Dust two albums were released: AD Transmission and 21st Century Magma. Please check them out and you will definitely notice how my musical taste has had evolved — through a blend of classic rock tracks with electronic beats like dubstep, trance, EDM etc.
Shows & Jam sessions:
Besides playing in gigs every now-and-then with my present band Royal House, I also orgainse the weekly jam sessions (every Wednesday evening @22:00) at the O’Malley’s Irish pub in Groningen.
